Henning Christiansen (b. 1932)

Henning Christiansen started composing as early as the age of 14. Later he graduated as a clarinettist and music teacher from the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen. Here he took composition as a subsidiary subject with Vagn Holmboe. Between 1956 and 59 he was a member of the Royal Life Guard Band. In the 60's Henning Christiansen became a prominent figure in the Danish Fluxus movement; in those years he also started working with the legendary artist Joseph Beuys at Dusseldorf. Today he works at the Hamburg Art Academy as a multimedia professor. Apart from chamber-, orchestral- and vocal music his oeuvre includes music for films and television.

Henning Christiansen (f. 1932)

Begyndte at komponere allerede som 14-årig, men blev uddannet klarinettist og musikpædagog fra Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium med komposition som bifag hos Vagn Holmboe. Spillede i årene 1956-59 i Livgardens Musikkorps. I 60'erne var Henning Christiansen en forgrundsfigur i den danske Fluxus-bevægelse, og indledte i disse år et samarbejde med den legendariske kunstner Joseph Beuys i Düsseldorf. Henning Christiansen er i dag tilknyttet Hamburgs Kunstakademi som multimedieprofessor. Udover kammer-, orkester- og vokalmusik finder man på hans værkliste musik til film og TV.
